Us Weekly has the exclusive video, above, in which the new mom shows how to create “spider lashes.” In the tutorial, Barrymore, looking fresh and pretty with bright lipstick and rosy cheeks, reveals the secrets to mastering the look (hint: don’t be afraid to use your fingers!).

Barrymore recently spoke to Us Weekly about her makeup philosophy. “I think the only rules about makeup is not to be shy,” she explained. “Happiness is the best makeup. That’s what comes out through the pores. That’s what shines through the thickest pigment. Happiness is everything.”
